this statement the writer will do himself the honour of waiting
upon you with whatever further explanations you may require,
while we need hardly say that the entire correspondence in con-
nection with this matter is at your disposal in case of need.
We have appointed Mr.Humphrey Cheetham as our sole and
exclusive agent, fortified by the acquiescence and support of
H.M. Colonial Office and H.E. the Governor.
We now venture therefore to submit that we shall be grate-
ful if you will add to the kindness you have already shown us in
this matter by telegraphing to H.E. the Governor that you are
satisfied of our bonafides and of the elimination of Messrs. Reuter
Brockelmann & Co. from this business and if, as we hope, you can
see your way to doing this for us, as soon as we receive your
intimation to this effect, we shall immediately telegraph to our
Agent, Mr. Humphrey Cheetham, informing him of the fact and thus
strengthening his hands, because if the vessel containing the new shipment of 160,000 cases of oil is due to arrive on the 6th June,
it is evident that there is no time to be lost.

We have the honour to be Sir,
Your obedient servants,
For Sanders, Rehders & Co., Ltd.,
Efland
Director.
